  11. On 20 Dec, I wrote to this list (after having mailed ximage) asking for info
  12. on the Image Extension to X, and promised to summarise. I received two
  13. helpful responses, from Alan Mazer at jpl and Howard Stroyan at HP, the
  14. latter supplying me with a July '92 copy of the review spec. On the
  15. 31st, my questions were effectively answered when Bob Scheifler mailed the list
  16. announcing the public review draft of XIE.
