  26. You did not say if this was IBM's X11R3 for AIX/RT or your own
  27. built X11, but here goes:

  29. For IBM's X11R3 lpp product, you most likely are missing the
  30. /usr/lpp/X11/defaults   directory and the files therein.

  48. The aixwm window manager needs those text files to build up its 
  49. popup memus, and what functions to invoke, and for the button bindings.

  51. Make sure that you also have the directory
  52. /usr/lpp/X11/messages
  53. These contain the XLib error message database file.
