- We recently installed X11R5 PL21 on a network of Sun Workstations.
- The machines include Sparcs (both color and mono), 2 color 3/80's, 2
- color 3/60's and 2 mono 3/50's. All seems well except on the 3/50's.
- The server when run on those machines seems to fail to deliver many
- expose events. The biggest problems seem to be with the xclock
- (digital mode), and with xterms. The xclock never seems to get an
- expose event. I can run xclocks from several machines, and none work
- on the 3/50. Xterms do not get expose events when the window receives
- output, but is not raised. If I cover and uncover the xterm, the
- event is delivered and I can see what is there. I also have noticed
- the problem in the pop-up menus of twm. Some menu entries do not get
- drawn properly. The version I am running was built on a Sun 3/80
- using gcc 2.3.2. I get these problems if I use the server named
- "XSun" as well as the one named "XSunMono". Has anyone else had this
- problem? I have only seen it on the 3/50's here. Any suggestions
- would be appreciated.
