  11. I'm trying to hookup 2 BocaModem 14.4 modems using Procomm for Windows.
  12. Are there any restrictions regarding setting up the serial port speeds
  13. in Windows 3.1?  I'd like to use the v42bis compression/correction
  14. protocol and the modem recommends using 57,600bps for the serial port baud
  15. rate.  Will this work properly or is it too fast for Windows 3.1 on a 386??

  17. Also, I setup the com1 port using the control panel to 57600 by typing
  18. this value in (it is not available from the speed selection list).  Is
  19. it ok to do this?
