- I'm trying to hookup 2 BocaModem 14.4 modems using Procomm for Windows.
- Are there any restrictions regarding setting up the serial port speeds
- in Windows 3.1? I'd like to use the v42bis compression/correction
- protocol and the modem recommends using 57,600bps for the serial port baud
- rate. Will this work properly or is it too fast for Windows 3.1 on a 386??
-
- Also, I setup the com1 port using the control panel to 57600 by typing
- this value in (it is not available from the speed selection list). Is
- it ok to do this?
