- Unfortunately the answer is very simple, and there is nothing
- yet that you can do about it.

- The bootstrap the sco puts on the hard disk has already kicked the
- machine into protected mode by the time you are able to type "dos"

- There are as yet no plans from sco to fix this.

- Solution #1 boot dos from a floppy.

- Solution #2 use fdisk to change the active partiton and then boot
- dos. You can keep using fdisk to change the active partitions back
- and forth.
