  19. }The version of SUN RPC shipped with ULTRIX V4.2 supports up to 32
  20. }groups per user, whereas previous versions supported 8 groups per
  21. }user.  Users that are members of more than 8 groups cannot NFS mount
  22. }file systems from NFS servers using the version of SUN RPC that only
  23. }supports 8 groups.

  32. }The workaround is to reduce the number of groups you are a member of
  33. }to eight or less to make NFS mounts work again.  In particular, you should
  34. }check the number of groups that "root" is in.

  36. Another workaround is if the NFS server machine you are having trouble
  37. with is an Ultrix system (say, V4.1) you can run the V4.2 mountd on
  38. that machine.
