- I recently found a good collection of Unix freeware, and I am
- looking for others. In "UNIX TACTICS" in a recent Digital News &
- Review, Kurt Reisler mentions two other collections called
- "European Unix Freeware" and "Good Stuff", and mentions that
- "DEC's European Unix Competency Center is getting ready to put
- a second CD-ROM together". I sent Kurt mail at reisler@decus.org
- but received no reply. The other address given for him,
- klr@umbc4.embc.edu, was not a valid address.
-
- Does anyone have any information on Unix Freeware CD-ROMs?
-
- The collection I have is called "Prime Time Freeware", which was
- advertised at USENIX. It costs $60 for 3000 MB on 2 CD-ROMs.
- Call (408)738-4832 or mail ptf@cfcl.com for more information.
- This collection has all the GNU stuff, MIT goodies, and more.
- It's much easier than using FTP to grab megabytes off the net.
- Please post or reply to brodsky@liso.dnet.ge.com, and I'll
- summarize the information. Thanks.
