- I have an HP35470A DAT drive which does NOT support compression. It can
- read the Dell issue 2.2 DAT distribution tape just fine. I was also able
- to read the tape on a borrowed Archive Python. I *did* have a lot of trouble
- with SCSI termination and parity checking so you might want to check that
- out. I have also had heat problems with the HP drive which causes random read
- failures after about an hour of continuous use (and only if I leave my system
- uncovered so that the fan does not draw air around the drive). Other than
- that I see no reason why the Wangdat won't work. It could just be mis-aligned.
