  11. I've been trying to nail this problem down, but come up with some
  12. problem(s) with doing such.  here's the scenerio:

  14. I'm running Consensys V4 (AT&T SVR4) on my DTK 80486-25 machine.  I've
  15. been able to get Cnews (may'92) going a number of months back, along with
  16. trn.  The problem seems to be that at different times I'll see a problem with
  17. replying to postings via Rnmail.  I'll see output like:

  19. (exiting cbreak mode)
  20. mail:  error 11
  21.  
  22. and then the normal prompt.  What's strange about it is that sometimes, 
  23. and I don't know why, a reply will get out.  the majority of the time, however,
  24. I'll see the error 11, and I'll lose the mail.  I've placed echo statements
  25. around parts of the Rnmail code, and the problem seems to be somewhere
  26. around the actual shipping of the code (where it sees that neither
  27. sendmail or recmail are used, and a number of sed lines exist).

  29. /bin/mail has a -rwxr-sr-x protection, while /bin/mailx has -r-xr--s--x
  30. on it.  both Pnews and Rnmail have the same ownership/protection bin/755.

  32. Can anyone suggest what I might be able to do to resolve this problem?
