- I have trouble input multi-byte 8-bit characters with tcsh and cxterm.
- I am using tcsh version 6.03.00, cxterm version 11.5.1, Solaris 2.1FCS,
- X11R5 patchlevel-16 on Sun 4/75.
-
- If I use csh or sh, I have no trouble inputting multibyte 8-bit
- characters (as long as I do a "stty -istrip").
-
- If I use tcsh, I can read multibyte 8-bit characters with no problem
- (so the fonts stuff is fine); however, if I try to input a multibyte
- 8bit character, I get two ascii characters back.
-
- I have read the tcsh manual section 26 on NLS but I am still confused.
- Would someone please give any hints? Thanks!
