- No worries :)
-
- SLIP stands for Serial Line Internet Protocol. It is a method for using an RS232
- interface instead of Eithernet card. Two computers can be networked together via
- their serial ports using SLIP, thus allowing telnet and FTP sessions between the
- two. In the case of Dail-up SLIP, two (or more) computers are networked together
- using their serial ports and modems, thus allowing 'long haul' network connect-
- ions to be established.
-
- Because of the baud rate limitations imposed by serial lines (usually around
- 115K baud max), SLIP links are relatively slow compared to Eithernet (usually
- around 10M bits per second).

- : Thanks,
- : Jeff.

- Sure,
- Fred
