  14. When in vi, and I say "!}fmt" (and similar), I get messages embedded
  15. in my text saying "stty: TCGETS: Operation not supported on socket".
  16. My understanding is that these are due to my shell trying to output
  17. a prompt string and that the solution, if I were using csh, would
  18. be as described in section 2.7 of the FAQ.
  19.  
  20. My question:  I use ksh.  Anybody know the solution?
