- I think I need a vacation. This question should be tooo simple!
-
- Anyway... Regarding 'du'. When I do a 'du' of an entire directory
- structure, it reports one number, say 503438 (so it's roughly 500 mb).
-
- However if I do a du on selected entries in that directory structure,
- like du -s */*/abc */*/ddd, each total comes to a numbers that total
- much higher than the du of the entire directory.
-
- I've done the du -s such that directories aren't (as far as I can see)
- reported twice. Am I overlooking something obvious here? I need
- to get usage info for certain subdirectory structures, and this should
- be an extremely simple task! :-(
