  16. Well, the entire 386BSD SRC01 /usr/share/man/man*, plus the mandoc macros
  17. to format it, fit on a single 5.25" floppy as a compressed CPIO archive. I
  18. know... I just put it all on one.

  20. Given a clever database, you could build a random-access structure that would
  21. hold all that information with little expansion (say, compress before cpio
  22. using a fixed compression table optimised for the data, plus an index to
  23. the start of each entry in the cpio), so a few MB for BIN01, ETC01, and
  24. FreeX86 manuals sounds about right.
