- Just checked our ULTRIX system. /usr/man is 18+ Meg, /usr/local/man
- is 6+. That's both raw and formatted manpages (man? and cat?
- directories), neither being compressed. The formatted manpages seem to
- be about 20% larger than the raw input, so this is approximately a
- 40-60 split on man?/cat?.
-
- On our Convex system, it's /usr/man at 19+ Meg, and /usr/local/man at
- 14+. (Same breakdown between man? and cat?.)
-
- Just two datapoints for you to consider.
