  14. Amancio and I would like to announce that interviews 3.1 binaries and
  15. patches for 386BSD are available on agate.berkeley.edu (128.32.136.1)
  16. in pub/386BSD/0.1-ports/x-apps/InterViews.  There are three files:

  18. iv3.1-bin.tar.Z*     complete 386BSD binaries for interviews 3.1
  19. idraw3.1.tar.Z       binaries and documentation for the graphics editor
  20. iv3.1-386bsd-gcc-2.3.3.patches  the source patches
  21.

  23. The split archive iv3.1-bin.tar.Z* is the complete 386BSD binaries
  24. and documentation for interviews 3.1.  To install iv3.1-bin.tar.Z,
  25. either unpack it in /usr/contrib or make a symbolic link so that it
  26. appears to be there:

  28.     cd /usr/contrib
  29.     cat iv3.1-bin.tar.Z* |tar xzf -
  30.  
  31. idraw3.1.tar.Z is the binaries and documentation for the interviews
  32. 3.1 graphics editor (idraw) alone. You can install the idraw
  33. executable anywhere and you don't need any other data or library files
  34. to run it.  You can simply unpack and run it.

  36. idraw3.1.tar.Z contains:
  37.   idraw - a 386BSD executable
  38.   idraw.n - the troff man page source
  39.   idraw.0 - the ascii, formatted man page
  40.   car.idraw - a sports car
  41.   using.idraw.ps - a users guide
  42.   .Xdefaults - example X resources that customize the menus
  43.  
  44. All these executables require a math coprocessor (387) or a 486DX
  45. because they are linked with libfpu rather than the 386BSD 0.1 libm.a.

  47. Patches to the interviews 3.1 sources that were used to create these
  48. executable are available by anon ftp from ref.tfs.com
  49. (140.145.254.251) in ~rich/iv3.1-386bsd-gcc-2.3.3.patches.

  51. The interviews 3.1 distribution itself is available from
  52. interviews.stanford.edu (36.22.0.175) in /pub/3.1.tar.Z.
