- I installed 386 BSD on my system without a hitch, but now that I'm adding
- users with non-root access, there's trouble.

- The directory /tmp didn't have access for others to write to it. Also, the
- directory /var/tmp didn't have access either.

- Why are these directories set up this way? I switched them, but I don't know
- what problems this will cause in the future.

- Also, gcc doesn't produce a working executable for a hello world program
- under a non-root user, but root can compile and run it just fine.
