  14.   Well who hasn't...... I tried to slip with a friend who also has a
  15. BSD386 system. We used the standard serial lines (com driver) with
  16. a modem. We ifconfig'ed the sl0 interface, and then called the
  17. other side with kermit (from /usr/othersrc/public/kermit-5a).
  18. Used slattach. But if we try to ping each other, we see the modem
  19. leds flicker, but the messages are not received. (100% packet loss)
  20. we both had the terry's patchkit (#18 & #19) installed..
  21.    maybe one out there knows whats going wrong....
