  14. I just bought a Cyrix 387-SX math coprocessor and installed it a few
  15. hours ago.  When I brought up 386BSD it recognizes the chip fine, and
  16. some programs (whetstone benchmark, sc) seem to run fine with it.

  18. However, ps -aux barfs with "floating exception" immediately after
  19. printing the first report line.  ps -aux worked fine (but slow) without
  20. the coprocessor.

  22. Another program I've been trying to get working (almost useless to try
  23. it without a math chip) is ephem and it also barfs with a floating
  24. point exception.

  26. Why does this happen?  Do I need to recompile anything?
