  39. The cable in the FAQ is for Dialup Security... that it, it monitors
  40. CD (DCD) and when dropped, hangs up the line.

  46. If you want Dialup Security, then you will need to make your own. The reason
  47. why is because all other cables are created with the MacOS in mind, and the
  48. MacOS "knows" about all the pins on the modem port.

  50. If you need hardware handshake, then follow the directions of your
  51. manufacturer. You may also need to setup DTR flow control, depending
  52. on the handshaking implementation...
