  10. Well, I installed a 220 for use with a /usr server (a 340).
  11. The 340 is running AIX 3.2.2. I used the base 3.2.0 install
  12. tape to install the client. When it booted, it grabbed a
  13. bunch up updates and applied them, then rebooted itself.
  14. So far so good.

  16. The problem:
  17. The 220 crashes often (888) with no extended codes. This 
  18. machine had been running happily as a fully configured 3.2.2
  19. machine. I want to switch to the /usr server to alleviate
  20. system maint time.

  22. I can easily reproduce a crash by simply cat(ing) a large
  23. file on the server. I know other folks are using /usr servers.
  24. Are you having the same kinds of troubles?
