- Well, I installed a 220 for use with a /usr server (a 340).
- The 340 is running AIX 3.2.2. I used the base 3.2.0 install
- tape to install the client. When it booted, it grabbed a
- bunch up updates and applied them, then rebooted itself.
- So far so good.
-
- The problem:
- The 220 crashes often (888) with no extended codes. This
- machine had been running happily as a fully configured 3.2.2
- machine. I want to switch to the /usr server to alleviate
- system maint time.
-
- I can easily reproduce a crash by simply cat(ing) a large
- file on the server. I know other folks are using /usr servers.
- Are you having the same kinds of troubles?
-
- The filesystem structure on the client looks like:
-
- Filesystem Total KB free %used iused %iused Mounted on
- /dev/hd4 4096 1912 53% 703 68% /
- /dev/hd9var 8192 7348 10% 102 4% /var
