  12. How do I make a complete backup of a /usr client system? `mksysb' doesn't
  13. backup the mini-/usr, because it is not mounted. I would like to backup the
  14. entire system to a file on a NFS-mounted filesystem, then dump the file to
  15. tape on another machine. When the time comes to reinstall the system I would
  16. like to do a network installation using the backup image.
  17. I tried to perform the reinstallation with a `mksysb' generated image, but
  18. the install procedure failed.

  20. Also, how are you supposed to shut down a /usr client gracefully? When you
  21. issue the `shutdown' command, somewhere along the way an `ifconfig en0 down'
  22. is performed, blowing away the remote /usr and the shutdown can't continue.
