- Using AIX 3.2.3, "lslv rootvg" command gives follwoing error.
-
- 0516-310 lslv: Unable to find attribute lock in the Device
- Configuration Database. Execute varyoffvg followed by varyonvg
- with -m1 option to attempt to correct the LV database.
-
- This happened after I had to delete and recreate the /home filesystem.
-
- a) Is my LV database really corrupt? If so, how can I correct it?
- How risky is it to use the system without immediately correcting it?
-
- b) How can I varyoff rootvg ? Do I use the mksysb tape / bosboot disk ?
-
- Thanks for any help and best wishes for X'mas and New Year !
