- Thanks to those that responded! It seems that on the IBM 340 and 350
- (at least) they have integrated the Ethernet onto the planar board,
- and have a riser card to get it out of the system. On the riser card,
- there is a set of jumper blocks that have to be moved for dix vs bnc
- connections. After moving the jumpers, everything worked fine!

- P.S. Doesn't this (the jumpers...) get away from the 'MCA' philosophy
- of having everything settable via software? I guess since it's no
- longer an MCA card it doesn't matter. What would have been nice
- I think is a 'message' on the 'smit chgenet' screen about
- 'Connector ADAPTER .... settable via jumpers' where the other
- systems will toggle from dix to bnc.
