  11. Is it possible under AIX to use a modem for dial-out *and* dial-in? (Not
  12. at the same time of course, but without messing around with config files
  13. and/or SMIT every time)
  14. I'm looking for something like the /dev/ttyxx and /dev/cuaxx thingies
  15. under SunOS and others ... (ttyxx blocks on open() when no carrier is
  16. present, cuaxx allows open()s without DCD.  If an open() of either one
  17. succeeds, the other device can't be open()ed until the first one is
  18. close()d.  So you can have getty waiting for dial-ins on ttyxx and uucp
  19. dialing out on cuaxx while the line is not in use)

  21. I've looked at the FAQ, but didn't find anything.  Also INFO seraches didn't
  22. help.
