- Is it possible under AIX to use a modem for dial-out *and* dial-in? (Not
- at the same time of course, but without messing around with config files
- and/or SMIT every time)
- I'm looking for something like the /dev/ttyxx and /dev/cuaxx thingies
- under SunOS and others ... (ttyxx blocks on open() when no carrier is
- present, cuaxx allows open()s without DCD. If an open() of either one
- succeeds, the other device can't be open()ed until the first one is
- close()d. So you can have getty waiting for dial-ins on ttyxx and uucp
- dialing out on cuaxx while the line is not in use)
-
- I've looked at the FAQ, but didn't find anything. Also INFO seraches didn't
- help.
