  13. We have a machine that goes on observing runs every now and then and
  14. when it leaves we get the following messages:

  16.     clnttcp_create: RPC: Port map failure - RPC: Timed out.
  17.     rpc.statd: cannot talk to statd at <machine>
  18.  
  19. The machine is a SPARC IPX and we are using sunos 4.1.2 w/ nfs.
  20.  
  21. We have checked (as far as we know) all the files in /etc that would
  22. deal with the machine.
