- We have a machine that goes on observing runs every now and then and
- when it leaves we get the following messages:
-
- clnttcp_create: RPC: Port map failure - RPC: Timed out.
- rpc.statd: cannot talk to statd at <machine>
-
- The machine is a SPARC IPX and we are using sunos 4.1.2 w/ nfs.
-
- We have checked (as far as we know) all the files in /etc that would
- deal with the machine.
-
- Any ideas? Email me at kevin@sherman.pas.rochester.edu.
-
- Thanks for any help and Happy New Year!
