  22. There is an excellent spell checker called MicroSPELL that works very
  23. well with TeX stuff. I have set up my user options from within the 
  24. TeXShell program to call this spell checker. 
  25. On the positive side:
  26. - the program is free
  27. - can build/use your own dictionaries
  28. - has a built-in "fuzzy" search feature (much like ispell or WordPerfect(r))
  29.   this allows the user to select the proper word from a list of alternatives
  30. - the program can reside in memory (TSR)
  31. - there are a lot of extra goodies along with the package (for example,
  32.   specialized dictionaries (math for one))
  33.  
  34. On the negative side:
  35. - The documentation is written in Japanese, however, you can figure out
  36.   most of the stuff with just a little diligence.

  38. This is the closest to ispell that I have seen and is a very good spell
  39. checker.
