- Hi:
-
- I am trying to use xdvi on my VT1200 to preview dvi files created on our
- microvax. It works great expect when it encounters a file with one of the
- AP-Tex font from Kinch Computers. I bought the whole set from Kinch about two
- years ago and they work fine on our ln03+ & ln06 with dvi2ln3. We don't have
- PostScript at this site.
-
- When xdvi comes across a file with the one of this font set, it gives the
- following error message:
-
-
- xdvi: File psmhvno lacks preamble command
-
-
- I have followed up with Dr. Kinch and he tells me the font set did not come
- from metafont but could not offer any other help.
-
- I get a similar message when I use dvi2vdu:
-
- Loading font data from tex_disk:[tex.fonts.][360]psmhlv.pk
- Bad pre command in tex_disk:[tex.fonts.][360]psmhlv.pk
-
- Can anybody offer a possible solution to this problem? We like the AP-Tex
- fonts but would really like some sort of screen previewer on the VAX. Right now
- the only driver we have that works on them beside lntex is tty. Not the best
- solution.
-
- Thanks.
