- I have a question concerning DVIPS.
-
- Our TeX/LaTeX installation is running on a VAX/VMS system and we are
- currently trying to implement DVIPS (we have been using PSPRINT so
- far). Most fonts we use in LaTeX are PostScript fonts, but there are
- still a few Computer Modern fonts left, such as the teletype font
- (which we prefer to Courier), math fonts, and some more.
-
- The problem is that DVIPS looks for Computer Modern PK file in the
- wrong directories, for example we get the following messages:
-
- dvips: Font [359]cmmi10.pk not found, characters will be left blank.
- dvips: Font [299]cmsy8.pk not found, characters will be left blank.
- dvips: Font [359]cmsy10.pk not found, characters will be left blank.
-
- We do have these files, but the "nearest" directories are [360] and
- [300], respectively. The PostScript fonts work just fine, it's only
- the Computer Modern fonts that do not work. How come DVIPS "misses"
- these directories?
-
- Thanks for any comments.
