  23. If you are using the spaces to line things up, you would be better off using  
  24. tables, or setting tabs in the Format Paragraph dialog box.  But if you really  
  25. need multiple spaces between words for some other reason, you can either  
  26. uncheck the "smart spaces" check box in the Format Document dialog box or, it  
  27. it's just an occasional need, type Alt-SPACE.  (I'm also working on a NeXT.)
