  25. I had this problem when I copied figures that already had cross
  26. reference markers in their captions.  To fix this, you can switch to
  27. visible text symbols mode and delete the cross reference markers in
  28. question.  Then you create the cross references again.

  30. The reason Maker gets confused over copied cross references is that
  31. they have the same ID internally.
