- Hi everybody out there!
-
- I got 2 Xerox 1186 machines. Now I've got the problem to connect one of them to
- my PC. I need this connection, to transfer software for the Xerox, which I got
- via FTP, from the PC to the Xerox. One of those disks contains the PCL, another
- contains a pacman for the Xerox, so I really need them ;-)
-
- Are there any possibilities to read/write the Xerox-Floppies in the PC? Or can
- I connect those two machines via serial cable? What kind of cable (null-modem
- or normal serial) do I need? I have only the Lisp-User-Files from Xerox for the
- 1186, so the only protocol for serial communication I have is the kermit
- protocol. Can I transfer binaries with it?
-
- And another question: I got the machines without manuals. Is there anyone who
- has some manuals, he/she could send me? I need all manuals, I can get for it.
- So if you have programming manuals or technical manuals or anything like that
- you don't need anymore, please send me a mail, so I can get them. I have the
- Lyric-Lisp system and the Executive 12.3 on my machine.
-
- And the last question for today: one of the machines is running very well. The
- other runs the base-system, but with every sysout I install on it, I get an
- error "0935" - what does that mean? Any suggestions to repair it?
-
- bye, Georg
