- I am considering the purchase of a Sparcstation LX, which as we all
- know, only runs Solaris 2.1 (ie no 4.1.x). The major application
- for this machine relies heavily on mmap() (and to a lesser extent,
- mlock()). Not having any documentation on Solaris, I am completely
- in the dark about what system calls are available. Thus the following
- questions:
- 1. Are mmap() and mlock() available?
-
- 2. Did Sun fix the bug/feature (at least in 4.1.1b) that limited
- the amount of memory which could be mlock()-ed?
-
- 3. Any substantial change in the tty driver? (in particular the termios
- struct and ioctl() calls)

- Please respond by email, as I rarely have time to read news these days.
- I will be happy to summarize if there are any requests.
