- I need a /etc/format.dat entry for a Seagate Elite II 2.5 gigabyte disk.
-
- Rsquared (our vendor) has told us
- DATA Cyl = 2624
- Alt Cyl = 2
- # of heads = 19
- sec/track = 83
- RPM = 5400
- Total Blocks = 4138048
-
- But I still need the 'bpt' whatever that is, and the ncyl & pcyl which are
- presumably related to the DATA Cyl somehow.
-
- I have a format.dat posted in September (the last time I remember it being
- posted) but it doesn't have this disk. So maybe the canonical format.dat
- should be re-posted.
-
- Thanks for any help,
-
