- You have the early documentation. 32MB
- boards were released near the end of the
- 3/200 product life. A total of 128MB
- is actually supported on these systems.
-
- Sun P/N 501-1451
-
- Clearpoint P/N SNX2RAM/32MB
- (/16MB - 16MB board)
-
- are 32MB ECC memory boards for the 3/200
- (and 3/400,4/200) systems.
-
- The installation order is slots 6-4-3-2
- on a 3/280. On a 3/260 the order is 6-2-3-4.
- Why this is true I don't know.
-
- Try installing the 3 8MB Sun boards
- first, setting the jumper blocks
- appropriately near the LEDS. Jumper
- 0 (and ONLY jumper 0) is in for the
- 1st Sun board, only jumper 1 for
- the 2nd board, etc. You will either
- need to read the Clearpoint docs or
- call them in Hopkinton, MA. to get the
- scoop on your 16MB board.
-
- You also need to install the P2 terminator
- @ location 34F - near the P2 connector - on
- the memory board at slot 6. All the other
- memory boards must have this terminator
- removed.
-
- The phone # for Clearpoint that I have is
- 1-800-743-2578.
