  17. Thanks to all who have sent me the information. Anyway, I've discovered that
  18. the "format" utility reads the disk geometry from the disk controller. As
  19. this intelligent drive supplies the necessary information, we don't really
  20. need the format.dat! In fact, from my experience, taking the default values
  21. suggested by "format" gives the optimal disk space utilization.
