  23. It already does log retry counts. Try doing an "mt -f /dev/nrstX status"
  24. after the drive has been closed. One of the fields is "retries". Be sure to
  25. use the non-rewinding device name.

  27. Dunno about those other bytes, though. It's possible they may be firmware-
  28. dependent, with different resellers doing different things, and therefore
  29. useless for a generic driver.
