  13.   This is kind of two fold question.  I want to create a static linked
  14. executable from a dynamicly linked excutable.  I don't have the source just
  15. the binary executable.  (I also don't have the individual object files).  I
  16. want to SUID an Open Windows program that is dynamically linked to the
  17. Openwin libraries.  But SUID executables only search /lib, /usr/lib,
  18. /usr/local/lib when resolving link references.  So I figured a static
  19. linked executable would be the easiest and quickest solution.  
  20.     Some admin out there must have run into a need to create a static
  21. linked executable from just the dynamic linked executable!?!?!
