- This is kind of two fold question. I want to create a static linked
- executable from a dynamicly linked excutable. I don't have the source just
- the binary executable. (I also don't have the individual object files). I
- want to SUID an Open Windows program that is dynamically linked to the
- Openwin libraries. But SUID executables only search /lib, /usr/lib,
- /usr/local/lib when resolving link references. So I figured a static
- linked executable would be the easiest and quickest solution.
- Some admin out there must have run into a need to create a static
- linked executable from just the dynamic linked executable!?!?!

- -Thanks in advance - Henry

- P.S. SunOS 4.1.X, Openwin 3.0
