  19. How can I make the X-terminals recognice names in place of IP numbers
  20. as host-names, without running DNS (Domain Name Services or BIND)?..

  22. The stage:
  23.    - Dozens of NCD Xterminals (17c and 19), booting from a 
  24.      SPARCStation 4/40 (IPC) called `vivaldi'.
  25.    - We **don't** use DNS but NIS (Yellow Pages..).
  26.  
  27. In the past these Xterminals recogniced names in place of IP addresses,
  28. `vivaldi' was a NIS Master server for it's own domain (called `facs') and we
  29. didn't use DNS.
  30.  
  31. When `vivaldi' has become a Slave NIS server for other domain (`fibronics')
  32. and `facs' domain was removed.. the Xterminals didn't want to recognice names..
  33.  
  34. Any hint?...
