  37.     Numeric entry is not an option, but I heartily reccomend xv
  38. for many of the image manipulation tasks you may need to do.  It is a
  39. fantastic program, but I am not sure if it is capable of more than 8
  40. bit color.  (i think it is)   It is also free.
