- We must clarify and correct some information contained in that article.
-
- We feel that our Emacs is VERY GOOD, and that our SGI version is excellent.
- The bad news is that SGI distributes our 3-year old release, even though we
- have current versions for the SGI. (Our efforts to get them to switch over
- have not been successful.)
-
- We want to announce a new policy: Anyone with a UniPress Emacs provided by
- SGI can get a current version from UniPress for only a media/manual fee of
- $75. We will require only a proof-of-purchase, i.e. a xerox of the tape
- cartridge or a copy of the SGI invoice. Telephone 1-800-222-0550 or email
- emacs@unipress.com.

- About UniPress Emacs: Version 2.20E is a full X Window product with mouse
- support, multiple frames, cut&paste, scroll bars, etc. In addition we have
- lots of language sensitive support for C, C++, Ada and Fortran.
-
- We ship fully-packaged binary copies -- just load & go. Also, we have a large
- tech-support organization including front-office people and back-office R&D
- development. Emacs continues to be very important to us and we devote much
- energy into keeping it very good. Binary worksation price $395; source price
- $995. We are VERY FRIENDLY about multiple and site licensing.
