  28. You need to bug Ardat or your distributor for newer firmware.
  29. Almost certainly this is not a drive purchased from SGI.  I
  30. asked Ardat to put the fix into their standard firmware, since
  31. SGI isn't the only system with problems on non-word aligned
  32. DMA (which is what happens when the drive disconnects on
  33. a boundary not a multiple of 4 bytes from start of transfer).

  35. They said they would do put it in their next general firmware
  36. release, but either that hasn't happened, or you have
  37. older firmware.

  39. There is no workaround except to disable SCSI disconnects,
  40. which has problems of its own (see master.d/scsi).
