-
- The short answer:
-
- flight_8bit is the version of flight that you have always had on the PI.
-
-
- The long answer:
-
- Since the GT there have been two versions of flight.
-
- - Color index, non-zbuffered, simple geometry. This is now flight_8bit.
-
- - RGB, lighted, zbuffered, complex geometry. This is now called flight.
-
- It used to be that these two versions were never both shipped on one system.
- As of 4.0.5 a desire arose to ship both of them. Thus the renaming.
-
- In the future there will be only one version of flight that will be capable
- of running in the way that both of these run.
