- Hello all...
-
- Perhaps someone can point us in the right direction. We currently use
- a large (but often sluggish) central campus-wide machine to read our
- news, but do everything else on our Indigo-farm.
-
- I snagged xrn, trn, etc., but it appeared that I would need a groomed
- news feed from "big brother." The main machine is too loaded to send
- us a news feed (i.e. NNTPSERVER), so we must go-it-alone. The central
- machine did offer to send us a raw news feed (which I suppose everyone
- can get w/o hassle).
-
- My question is:
- Q.) What is needed to bring a raw news feed into a small Indigo farm?
- NNTPD? Anything else? Are terrabyte disk farms a must?
-
- Any tips/experience/the like will be most appreciated.
-
- thanks....
