- is numbering example in jag(7M) man page wrong?
-
- Controller numbers run from 0 to 5 for the six possible controllers in a
- system. Device numbers run from 0 to 7 on channel 0 (the upper
- connector) and from 8 to 15 on channel 1 (the lower connector). One
- device number is taken up by each channel on the controller (host adaptor
- in SCSI terminology). The default device number (SCSI ID) is 7 for both
- channels. The SCSI ID should be relative to the first drive on a
- channel. Thus partition 7 on drive 3 on channel 1 on controller 1 would
- be referred to as jag1d11s7.
-
- don't 8-15 map to 1-7? that would make device 3 map to d10 not d11 wouldn't
- it?
