  12. I am having a problem installing 2 supra v32 modems to the backpanel of a
  13. Sequent S81 running Dynix/PTX 1.3  As far as I can tell I have everything
  14. configured correctly but I must have missed something. Anyway the problem
  15. is this: The modems will auto answer fine and at the correct speeds but all
  16. the caller will get is lots of garbage. This isnt that unusual I guess 
  17. because calling into the HST's (1200 yuk) does the same thing but the garbage
  18. goes away after a few returns. This isnt the case with the Supras. Unfortuanatly
  19. Supra has been VERY unhelpful and blamed everything on someone else (namely
  20. Sequent) and I have gotten almost the same response from sequent because "its
  21. not a modem we support". This is all fine and great but I would like to get
  22. these working has anyone installed any Supra v32 modems and had similar 
  23. problems and then been able to fix them? I have been bouncing around for 
  24. 3 months now between Supra and Sequent so I hope someone out there can help me.

  26. Oh and still on modems, does anyone have an idea why an HST 1200 modem refuses
  27. to realize it has no carrier and hang up? We have had problems with the HST's 
  28. not hanging up if a call in user does something like crash his machine or if 
  29. someone calls voice it usually hangs (this is a "supported" modem by Sequent
  30. but they have no idea).
