- CHANGES ANNOUNCED IN EUROPE/MIDDLE EAST/AFRICA ORGANIZATION
-
- Bedford, Mass., December 23, 1992 -- Michael H. Forster, President and
- General Manager of Computervision's Europe/Middle East/Africa organization
- headquartered in Munich, Germany, will be leaving the company having
- completed his assignment there. Mr. Forster joined the company in 1988 as
- President of the General Markets Division. Subsequently, he was General
- Manager of the Americas Business Unit and the International Business Unit
- prior to his current assignment.
-
- Forster originally undertook a two-year assignment to implement
- Computervision's software and services strategies in the International
- Business Unit and agreed to extend his assignment to complete the process,
- which included the formation of expanded alternate sales channels, the
- forming of a separate hardware organization, and the establishment of pan-
- European industry-focused businesses.
-
- "Mike did an outstanding job in building an excellent organization and
- implementing our strategy to create four geographic regions consisting of
- Northern Europe, France, Central Europe and Southern Europe,"
- Computervision President and Chief Executive Officer John J. Shields said.
- "Together, these regions represent more than two-thirds of our product
- business.
-
- "This new European organization will accommodate the streamlined
- management structure our strategy requires. We are most grateful to Mike
- for his willingness to take on and complete this assignment and take a
- leadership role in implementing our strategies. From a personal
- standpoint, it is time for Mike to return to the United States and we wish
- him the utmost success in his future endeavors."
-
- Shields will assume responsibilities for the new organization.
