  20.     MARLBOROUGH, Mass., Dec 15, Reuter - Sequoia Systems Inc  said Cornelius P.
  21.     McMullan was promoted to president and chief executive officer, effective
  22.     immediately.
  23.     McMullan joined the company in November as vice president of worldwide
  24.     sales and strategic accounts.
  25.     The position had previously been filled on an interim basis.

  27.     Note: If you remember, McMullan was the President and GM of the Computer
  28.           Systems Business Unit of Prime Computer, Inc. and the only employee
  29.           of COPM, the company that tried to buy PI/open.

  36.     MARLBOROUGH, Mass., Dec 21, Reuter - Sequoia Systems Inc said that the
  37. financial advisor Broadview Associates LP has been retained to advise the
  38. company in connection with its pursuit of a sale of all or part of Sequoia.
  39.     Under the terms of the agreement, Sequoia said Broadview will contact
  40. potential acquirers to ascertain their interest in investing in, or acquiring
  41. Sequoia, participate in negotiations on behalf of Sequoia, and make
  42. recommendations for possible transactions with potential investors.
  43.     It said financing for Sequoia is necessary because of reduced revenues and
  44. operating losses during the past two quarters, and its default under its bank
  45. credit arrangement and liquidity difficulties.
