- Two things. First, NiCds output a lower voltage, typically 1.2V per cell.
- This may not be enough to prevent a low battery warning.
- The discharge curve for NiCds is also very different from the one for
- regular dry cells. It tends to drop off very slowly until the very end, when
- it will suddenly dive. This pattern could be fooling the graph; the
- level could be higher than the 50% mark of the typical carbon-zinc batteries
- that the HP-95 was intended to use.
