- Why? The number of messages on here, daily, is fairly low, and
- most tend to be concerning fairly general questions that are applicable
- to both 2.xx and 3.xx versions of the software. Frankly, I see no need to
- lock a version number into the name. A simple 3.11 or 2.15c in the
- subject line lets everybody know what's happening. The overlap between
- versions is large enough I'd bet a lot of cross-posting anyway should we
- adopt sub-groups for different versions, and in addition how many 3.11
- people used to run 2.11 or 2.15 nets and remember the solution?

-
- Now the programmer part may have some merit, but given the small
- posting rate and the overall ratio of programmer questions to general
- questions, I doubt it would be worth it.
-
- I wonder, how would the listserv of comp.sys.novell handle the
- new change if it passes? My thinking is that comp.os.netware is far
- enough -- let's split things only when enough posts warrant it.
